Rawnsley Park Station

Rawnsley Park Station is situated in the beautiful Flinders Ranges, overlooking the southern side of Wilpena Pound. The area is famous for its dramatic scenery, ancient mountain ranges, rich Aboriginal heritage, character-laden country towns and abundant native wildlife.

Set at the foot of Rawnsley Bluff, these 3.5-star Holiday Units are self-contained with private bathrooms.

Comfort Inn – Coober Pedy

The Comfort Inn in Coober Pedy provides unique underground accommodation. Coober Pedy is situated on the edge of the Stuart Range, on beds of sand and silt stone 100 feet thick, topped with a stony desert. As opal seams were discovered deeper and deeper, miners soon found that the temperatures underground were very pleasant at about 25c. It was not long before the miners decided to camp underground in their mines.

These original basic dwellings have now been developed to a point where luxurious underground homes and hotels, known as dugouts, have been planned and built.

Situated north of Tulear on the Mozambique channel, this charming hotel set in a tropical park gives you the opportunity to enjoy its surroundings, such as the lagoon, the coral reef as well as excursions to the baobab forest nearby.

Vakona Forest Lodge – Andasibe – Madagascar

Vakona Forest lodge is located close to the National Park in its own small reserve. The lodge offers clean rooms with en-suite and showers. The food is very good and mainly French in style and the restaurant area has an outdoor terrace surrounded by a small lake. For really close-up lemur viewing the lodge has its own ‘Lemur island’ where you can feed the friendly creatures as they jump on your shoulders.
