Dear Xavier, You may recall that we requested a booking on a safari on which Sandra was to be the guide because she was so highly recommended to us ….. We thoroughly enjoyed the Gekko safari and are full of admiration for Sandra’s part in the Lake Eyre experience. For over fifteen years I acted as site coordinator/local guide for US Elderhostel tour groups in North Queensland. Thus I could appreciate what a sterling job Sandra was doing as guide/coordinator/driver/ BBQ cook/etc, etc. It was a great experience, we thoroughly enjoyed it, and hopefully so far may have encouraged a cousin and some acquaintances to think about doing the Gekko thing.

Hi Xavier, I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful trip Cathy, Jenny and I had last week. Paul and Sandra are THE BEST tour guides ever, so easy going and really professional, nothing was too much trouble for them. Every minute of the tour was just fantastic, we didn’t want it to end. Just a quick note to say thank you for the fabulous time my wife and I have just had in South Australia/Lake Eyre with Gekko Tours. I would particularly like to commend your representative, Mr Richard Wadham who led our tour. He looked after us with professionalism and care that we appreciated very much. At no time did we feel “unsafe” under his care and driving, and we feel that our enjoyment of the tour was enhanced greatly by Mr Wadham. That said. H.O is not to be left without our congratulations, the Sparking French Wine that we got to enjoy yesterday at Port Augusta on our cruise was just the perfect way to end our tour. Dear Xavier, I just wanted to say I had a fantastic trip to Lake Eyre and a big thank you on Cooper Pedy which was very interesting. The flight over Lake Eyre was fantastic but the all round trip was great. I also which to mention that Sandra was great and made our trip as well. Anyway thanks again and will mention to anybody that wants to visit that area about you guy’s.

Hi Xavier,   Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our wonderful trip with Dick last week. My husband Dean, my sister Joy and her friend Rita had the most fantastic trip imaginable. The weather was perfect, and every turn was a panoramic view. The only thing that was annoying was a couple of whinging poms, but you get that!! Rita is a pom who has only been out here for 3 years, and they made her embarrassed to be a pom. They complained that we were late getting in for our meals at night, but it was because we were all having such a great time that we didn’t care what time we got in. Dick was very friendly and accommodating and pretty good with the jokes too! We all thought that your company puts on a pretty tremendous tour and we will certainly be recommending this trip to all our friends. Extremely good value for money. Thank you for all your help in the organizing out trip.   The transport was most comfortable, and it was great to move around different seats to chat to all the passengers.   A couple of suggestions for improvements:  Maybe some overhead nets to put warm jackets etc in so they’re not under your feet or on your lap. A really good voice over for the area your travelling through, with all the points of interest, so as not to distract the driver.   Dick did make plenty of stops for photographs of scenery, wildflowers and wildlife.
